About the Author & Illustrator
Robin R. Whaley, a native of New Orleans, brings a lifelong passion for the arts to every page. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art and Associate’s Degrees in both Music and Art, Robin’s work is a colorful symphony of her Louisiana heritage.
The spirit of Laura Long Legs inspired the character of Bone-A-Part, Robin’s beloved Yellow Labrador (2005-2016). Through this series, Robin honors that bond by advocating for animals in need of their own "forever homes."
